The Mamont Mission II – The Next Big Adventure Begins

Entry date for the London heat of Mamont Mission II Cocktail and Food Pairing
Competition extended to 10 March due to popular demand

Following the success of the 2014 Mamont Circumpolar Competition, Mamont Vodka invites bartenders and chefs to enter Mamont Mission II, a highly anticipated cocktail and food pairing competition with a once in a lifetime prize to join an expedition to search for a Great Mammoth. A series of heats will be taking place in London, Paris, Tbilis and St Petersburg with participants competing to take part in the Grand Finale in Moscow on 19 May.
The Mamont Mission II competition allows teams to demonstrate a dish and a complementing cocktail that captures Mamont’s Siberian heritage, both of which must include Mamont Vodka as the primary ingredient. The competition will be judges by industry leaders from the gesture and bar scene including Simon Difford and Jean Pierre Vigato (Moscow final).

London Heat
• Venue: The Shrub and Shutter Bar, 336 Coldharbour Lane, Brixton, London
• Date: 23 March 2015

Teams consisting of a bartender and a chef, both currently employed by a licensed bar or restaurant, must submit their entries by 10 March via the competition website (www.mamontmission.com). Judges will then select 6 teams from all UK entries to compete at the Shrub and Shutter Bar on 23 March. Contestants have to submit detailed recipes online, including a step-by-step method and a list of all ingredients in order to apply for a place in the first round of the competition. Teams from all over the UK are invited to enter with all travel and accommodation expenses covered.

The Grand Finale – Moscow
• Venue: TBC Moscow
• Date: 19 May 2015

Two winning teams from each of the heats in London, Paris, St. Petersburg and Tbilisi will qualify for an all-expenses paid trip to Moscow to compete in the Grand Finale. Competitors will be judged by a panel of industry experts on the quality, presentation and consistency with the competition’s Siberian Adventure theme.

Das Team wird mit modernsten Materialien und der neuesten Technologie ausgestattet, die man für das erfolgreiche Aufspüren eines Mammuts im ewigen Eis benötigt.

Mamont Mission I
Die erste Mamont Mission fand am 21. Mai 2014, dem ersten Polar Explorer Day statt, der heute zu einem offiziellen Feiertag in Russland erhoben wurde. Die Jury bestand aus namhaften Vertretern der Getränkeindustrie, alle Teilnehmer kamen aus ganz Europa. Clément Bappel (Koch) und Valentin Calvel (Barkeeper) des französischen “Apicius” Restaurant, die verdienten Gewinner der ersten Staffel, machten sich am Ende auf eine abenteuerliche Arktis-Expedition. Ihre Gewinner-Rezepte waren der Cocktail “The Ice Floe” mit einem handgeschnitzten Eisball sowie das dazugehörige Gericht in Kugelform “Drop of the Arctic” mit Osietra Kaviar und Blattgold.
